Venezia Reopened
Walked by Venezia this morning and noticed they have reopened with new menus (and brunch!).
Has anyone eaten there since they reopened?

I won't be back
Venezia was among the worst dining experiences I have ever had, if not the worst. Not only did we sit there for more than 3 hours (and we ended up taking our desserts to go!), the food was average at best, the service is awful and we were treated poorly - especially after we questioned the delays. The owner of this restaurant should not be in a busines that he has to deal with the public. Any good restaurant would offer a discount or free dessert or something when you've been stuck there that long. This guy wasn't hearing it. Lakewood deserves better restaurants than this.

I've never eaten there, but that style of restaurant needs to be able to serve drinks, at least wine and beer. Who's ever been to an Italian restaurant with no wine?
Again, I've never been, but I doubt that not having burgers and fries in his Italian restaurant was really his problem.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

Funny how the chef bemoans having to add burgers and fries. Really that won't help. The food was just fair (for the price) and the service glacial. The food would need to be outstanding to warrant the price and the wait.
As far as the liquor license, that really isn't an issue, you can always BYOB and pay corkage, we did.

Venizia reopened
I don't know how that place stays in business. The food is so-so (the pasta is REALLY salty) and their service, as others have mentioned is very poor. We even gave him the benefit of the doubt and we went back for a second visit. The service is unbelievably bad. The guy can't handle more than one table of customers at a time. I wish him luck, but I know at least 4 other people that will NEVER return there.
