As I have never had a house to put a sign infront of until now I am not clear how that works. Are the signs free? And is the office on maddison where I may pick one up at?

Thanks!!

Robert

The current thought with the new owner is a car repair body shop. I know the owners and the realtor in this, and I had never heard day-care center.

I believe the Obama group is renting the facility.

The business was my outlaws for years, know the doorway well. Was curious as to the status of building, admittedly without doing any research.

Building is in great shape, was bought by a gentleman that see a tremendous value investing in Lakewood. I believe he also owns a building on Detroit. Was impressed with how Lakewood seems to be finding itself.

I had dinner with him at LaPita last week, and was very refreshing speaking with someone that see Lakewood in a larger context. From Lebanon originally, and spending time on the East Coast, he sees friendly safe neighborhoods, with incredible value for the dollar. He is also looking for a home in Lakewood.

The building is very solid, and I was part of a group looking to purchase it for "The Lakewood Motoring Society's Museum." A place for us to keep our cars. We had looked at Detroit Auto Body for the same reason. With the Lakewood Car Show on that section of Madison it made sense. Dave Buehler who owns 8 Templars, and Steve Hoffert was part of it as well.

I had heard of a bar, a co-op, a landscaping company(that bought next to bela), an appliance store, and even a coffee shop interested in going in. In the end it looks like it will be an auto body shop.

FWIW

Thanks Jim,
That building would have worked quite well as a place to store and work on cars. Wish success to whoever sets up shop there. Robert

Took keys on Saturday, I think I heard by Wednesday. Also a rumor they will be opening another at Vedda Litho's old place.

Stay tuned.

Where are the Clinton supporters? I'm an Obama man, but she supposedly has a 17 point lead in the state. Where are they on the forum?

I, too, am an Obama supporter. Having said that I'd like to ask---

Heidi (I don't want to put you on the spot so feel free to decline)

You are smack dab in the demographic that supposedly supports Hillary. Why have you chosen to support Obama?

I support Hillary.

Remember though that this board is not necessarily a representative sample of the views of the rest of Lakewood. So while the majority here support Obama, that doesn't mean it's the case in the rest of Lakewood, or it could be that Lakewood just tends to lean towards Obama. Who knows? We'll find out on March 4. :)

In the end I just think it's great the Democrats have two very exciting candidates for President. Far cry from the days of Dukakis and Kerry.

A change is needed for sure. To reiterate what I said on another thread, my main reason for supporting Obama is that he's the only candidate in either party who has the potential to unite everyone. The Clintons are polarizers, rightly or wrongly, and McCain would be seen broadly as a continuation of the current administration.
