The best dessert in Lakewood?
This doesn't have a clicky, but we can all post on here.
For those of us who appreciate a goupy (is that a word?) or whatever for after the main meal, or even instead of a meal, who has the best dessert type thing(s) in our fine city of Lakewood?
Care to post your favorite dessert and where the rest of us can get it?
(must be able to bring it home or have it on-site so this includes restaurants, bakeries etc ).
I'll wait to post mine.

In addition to Hylander's (on Detroit near Marlowe) famed Wednesday and Friday fish fries (yum!) they often have either a nice jello or rice pudding (with or without raisins) topping off that's just right! (particularly with a dollop of whipped cream on top!)
Matter of fact, I think that's where I think we'll be taking lunch on the morrow. My favorite meal is their Southern Fried Catfish!

OH the southern fried catfish sounds so good.
I was wondering if anyone served that nearby! I almost bought some fillets on my last trip to the west side market but didn't. Maybe I'll get some the next time I head down to the market.
As far as dessert...hmmm.... Bela Dubby has a KILLER chocolate cake that will knock you off your chair.

I agree Ivor, whenever I need a major chocolate fix I go get a slice of cake from there, it goes great with a nice cup of hot chocolate. When I think dessert, I think chocolate overload.Ivor Karabatkovic wrote:As far as dessert...hmmm.... Bela Dubby has a KILLER chocolate cake that will knock you off your chair.

13 posts but 500 lurkers. Seems we have some people who love desserts but are sneaking peaks at where to get them.
