Baker Motors Running Red Lights and Speeding
I've noticed several Baker Motors tow trucks running red lights all around town. Anybody else notice them doing this? Also, I've seen a bunch of them flying down Detroit at about 45 to 50 mph just to hurry up and tow somebody's car out of the car wash next to McCarthy's. They're going to kill somebody doing these things!

I have lived around the corner from Baker for years. I have seen them speed and run red lights. I have called their office and basically got blown off. Last year I posted on here about their junk yard. I was told they are not allowed to store cars for more than six months. There is a red van that has been there for a few years. They should clean up their act or lose the business from the city.

Joe, just curious, have you called the city and complained and/or notified them?Joe Whisman wrote: I was told they are not allowed to store cars for more than six months. There is a red van that has been there for a few years. They should clean up their act or lose the business from the city.
Are they helping? I would think they would.

I remember right after moving here and going to eat at Harry Buffalos one evening and a girl standing the parking lot next door to the business which is closed during the evening. She was the look out and there were no signs around to let cars know they would be towed. Bakers came right after she called and fortunately we weren't one of them but since then they just appear like vultures to Lakewood residents. Add to that the parking problem we have here and no one will want to come to eat/entertain in the evening if they all hear they could get towed. How pathetic. I think everyone should call the police every time they are seen breaking a law. A whole town block watch.
