What it was referring to was the Observer "family" growing. However, one of the things in the contract is that they control their media, and project.

While I posted early, I forgot that Board members worked for over a year before we printed our first paper.

Whew!

Finally.

I would like to thank everyone on Observer, Inc.'s Advisory Board, especially DL Meckes, Dan Ott, Heidi Hilty, Ken Warren, Jeff Endress.

I want to thank everyone that has worked or taken part in the Lakewood Observer Project. You are making news, and writing history.

Today, we became a family.

We would like to welcome Cleveland Heights and University Heights to the Observer Media Family.

How wonderful.

A lot of hard work went into all of it and now you're seeing the next stage taking place.

Congratulations to you all.

This had as much or more to do with the members of this project than me. I am just luckly to hang with good people.

DL, DAN OTT, JEFF ENDRESS, are the stars here.

Future Heights really deserves the thanks for having the vision and will to bring hyper-local civic journalism to their area.

They are about to embark on an incredible journey and I can't wait to see their first Observer!

I visited their site and already it seems to be quite invigorating. I think in due time I will register because I think this presents a very unique opportunity for an "Across the River" dialog.

And, I do have a familiarity with the town and some of its residents and merchants.

So, I'm looking forward to a tunneling dialog that has been totally missed by the main stream media in this town.

I do not know what to say.

I do know that we when started this we never thought that we would be comments on our Lakewoodcentric discussions form England, France, Cyprus. The fact that people fly in from Phoenix talkign about articles they downloaded from the front page I find amazing.

Then add in to that fact that many civic groups have called to ask how we manage the egos, and discourse, and ask for help is amazing.

As I often say, LO is making news and impacts around the world.

For that I am thankful

Your comments influence people. In the past that's been more limited, but now your sphere of influence has grown!
