I can see our Library finding its way to being the familial community gathering place that Stern has envisioned as per Ken Warren's outlines.
Can you imagine what it's going to be like when Spring hits?? The old building brand new?
Having the LEAF Fall Harvest Celebration across the whole front of the expanse?
And, a grand hallway to see the best, and perhaps most importantly, the aspiring works of our own artists.

It will be every bit as great as Ken's vision.
I smile as I see old topics come back in new ways. One of the first discussions on the Deck was, "The Center of Lakewood."
I would say a large majority thought the Library. A place that serves all equally. A place filled with knowledge presented in a non-partisan way.
In some of the greatest societies of all time, throughout the ages, the Library was the center of learning and the community.
Ken, his staff, and the work of all of the various committees that run and add to the Library have done a magnificent job, at creating this feel here in Lakewood.
This time it was the Art Committee, before that the Gala Committee, always the Board and the Friends of the Library.
Thanks to everyone involved and special kudos to the photographers whose works now hang in the halls.
