As we all know Lakewood has many wonderful 'secrets' such as lovely places, fine restaurants, wonderful artists and successful businesses.
I would invite everyone to enjoy another one of Lakewood's secrets, the choral group GOOD COMPANY: a vocal ensemble
Good Company was formed in 1995 and practices and performs several times a year at Lakewood Presbyterian Church - drawing crowds from all over the Greater Cleveland area.
Their next performance will be this Sunday January 6, 2007 at 4 PM where they will present a program of choral works entitled “Echoes of the Seasonâ€Â
Their website (http://www.good-co.org) provides the following description of the upcoming program:
Artistic Director Karen Weaver will leads the ensemble in choral works for the holiday season. A featured work will be the “Christmas Cantata†by Daniel Pinkham. Other composers include Brahms, Rossini, Praetorius, Rutter, Lauridsen, Frank Ferko, Healey Willan, Halsey Stevens and others. The group will sing in English, German, French and a special carol in Dutch! Assisting artists include a brass ensemble and Margaret A. Limkemann, organist, and Susan Lezan, pianist. There is no admission charge for the concert. A free-will offering will be taken. A reception will follow.
This truly is one of Lakewood's most lovely secrets.
Come Sunday at 4 PM and find out for yourself -
Always,
Charyn

I sing in the West Shore Chorale which als has alot of Lakewood members. Back in 2004 we did a joint concert with Good Company, they definitely are worth listening to. Definitely attend the concert if you have the chance!sharon kinsella wrote:Good Company is amazingly good.
Karen Weaver is an extremely talented director and has one of the sweetest soprano voices around.
