Well.....it's off to Scioto Downs in Columbus for the LHS Boys Cross Country Team next Sat. Nov. 3rd to compete with the best 16 Division One Cross Country teams in the state of Ohio in the 2007 OHSAA State Cross Country Meet!!
Today, the 7 Varsity Runners from LHS finished 2nd in the team competition at the 2007 OHSAA Regional Cross Country Meet held at Boardman High School.
The Ranger boys finished with 100 points in a very close team race. The overall team winner was North Canton Hoover with 91 points. Also advancing to next weeks OHSAA State Cross Country Meet from the Boardman Regional were the 3rd and 4th place teams from Louisville, with 131 points and Mentor with 134 points.
On a very challenging course, in cross country terms, the course can be described as, 'slow' due to the overall terrain and conditions, the LHS Harriers made LHS and the City of Lakewood proud with their awesome team effort.
Congratulations Nick Meeson, who finished 1st place overall with a time of 16:10.22....the REGIONAL CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPION!
Truly Amazing!
Dee Makorobo was 5th overall in the race with a time of 16:21.20.
Casey Meeson finished 17th overall in a time of 16:48.28.
Senior Tim Kelly, the amazing 1st year XC runner, was 31st overall in 17:12.10.

Jay Toole, also a Junior, followed closely with 17:46.20 in 73rd place.
