Eric Crawford wrote: When Lakewood officially publishes their new ordinance we will see how this turns out and if the old law is now void and removed from the books or if they are written as revisions. We won't know until Lakewood publishes it though.
This is not even in question, the new ordinances completely replace section 373. Therefore the old ordinances are void. Please read the city council meeting minutes to verify.

not to get too off-topic of various and sundry ordinances ... perhaps it's me, but the repainting and restriping of Detroit is going painfully slow. Almost glacial. Did the city hire a part-time crew? Are these kids doing the job after class is out at high school? It seems like a relatively simple process, but it's stretching on day after day after day ... maybe these guys are getting paid by the hour and trying to pad their payrolls???

and perhaps it's me, but I'm noticing that the lanes don't line up. after almost every intersection you have to jog slightly right or left. perhaps this is to accommodate the large number of drunk drivers on a Saturday night that swerve anyway.
