LHS Girls Soccer is competing tomorrow, Wednesday, October 10th, at Lakewood Stadium for their conference championship.

I've had the pleasure to cover girls soccer this year and get to know both of the new coaches that the Athletic Department has hired.

They were just what our girls needed!

This will be the first time in Lakewood High School history that the girls are competing for a conference championship.

JV plays at 5 and the big game, Varsity plays at 7pm against Elyria High School.

I encourage everyone to come, it will be fun, clean, intense and hopefully the girls can get their first championship!

GOOD LUCK LADY RANGERS!!

It was a dismal night for a soccer game.....but the spirit of the Rangers warmed everyone up! The ladies looked very sharp, with the Elyria squad rarely passing the midfield line. The team posted a 3-0-1 record in their conference. With tournament play slated to start next week, the Women's soccer team will take on Twinsburg, away, on Weds.

The team played Twinsberg to a non-division tie (1-1) earlier this season in which senior Danielle Pusateri suffered a season ending broken leg (yeah....it was THAT rough).

I know that the team is very proud to be able to finally place "some numbers" on their banner in the gym. Way to go TEAM!
