Thank You

Post by Diane Helbig »

I would just like to thank everyone who helped me in my campaign and who offered their support and well wishes.

This has been an incredible experience. I have met some fabulous people who I believe I would not have had the chance to meet at this time otherwise.

I look forward to the election (yes, I know already who I will be voting for). And, please don't think you've heard the last of me! I have ideas that I will continue to push forward.

I believe that the universe serves us in ways we should be served and that all things happen for a reason. I don't worry about what that reason may be. I simply roll with it and wait for it to make itself known to me. Then I proceed.

All is well on this front. I've learned a lot and gained a lot. I'm blessed to have had the adventure.

Thank you all.
And best of luck to the remaining candidates.
Play it clean - for all of our sakes.

Diane,
Your energy, openness, and creativity in this campaign season was a breath of fresh air. I know you have a lot to bring Lakewood in any capacity.

I appreciate your kind words. In all fairness you should thank my parents. I was raised by the best!

Thanks Justine. I hope I did, and can continue to, make a difference in Lakewood. We're lucky to live here and success is ours for the effort.

I've really enjoyed the whole process. Mike is a formidable opponent and I'm sure will serve us well.

Diane

Thanks for running. It was a pleasure speaking with you and your ideas for Lakewood.

I grew up with Mike Summers, I really like Mike Summers. It is not because we always agree, far from it. It is because he always does his homework, he is always willing to talk, he is always willing to get involved, and because of his deep, deep history and love of Lakewood.

That said, I do hope we see you run in two years. I believe you would add much to council.

Thanks.
