Accident on Clifton and Cook.

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Early this morning I recieved a phone call from Bob Ignizio. Police car on the lawn and Cook and Clifton. Still thinking of last night I ran down. What I found was a mild car accident, but a close one!

This car glanced off a car crossing Clifton when the lights were not working.

Stop at the edge of a big hole. The other car in this accident is the red car in the background.

And deep too! Can't tell, is that a water line or gas line!

Everyone was OK, at the time of these photos.

I see AT&T Lightspeed boxes lurking in these photos.

You would have a hard time convincing me that they didn't cause this accident.

Steve--- Had that box been enclosed in the newly popular neo classical modernist adobe surround kind of thing perhaps the driver might not have been distracted.

I saw this same accident and the lights not working that morning. The lights going both ways were completely out.. both Cook and Clifton. Drivers on Clifton were just whizzing through the intersection, not even stopping!

HELLO? Does anyone remember basic drivers' ed? Intersections where the lights are out turn into FOUR WAY STOPS!!! Unbelievable. I actually got honked at for stopping there like I am required to by law.
