I don't have a problem with your observation, but I'm not really sure what concerns you. Are you concerned about the message being sent, or are you concerned that these candidates are less qualified to deal with school issues because their children don't attend public school?
For the record, I think every parent should have the right to educate their children as they see fit, even if that means full day kindergarten.
