That sounds great, I think it is important for the younger athletes to know what they have to look forward to.
I didn't notice anywhere on here, I really wasn't looking either...but I will plug the Homecoming Parade tonight! If I am correct it starts at Lakewood Park at 6 pm. The route goes up Belle onto Clifton and then onto Bunts ending at the stadium. I also heard if anyone has a student at Garfield that they will also be marching. From my understanding Mr. Fassett is organizing it. I asked my daughter if she wanted to march and she said no, we are going to watch though.

I too, was at the Monday night game with the obnoxious Dad on the sidelines. I was embarrassed for Lakewood because he was so antagonistic. I thought he and the guy from Berea were going to get into a fight. Fortunately, they didn't. I feel sorry for his daughter. Too bad he can't figure out a more positive way to support his daughter and the team.

I believe they have. There was a time, not THAT long ago, that Lakewood soccer had "slient Sundays" to curb the behavior at travel games. I can remember my wife passing out tootsie pops to give their mouths something else to do.
But this has to be embarassing to the teenaged daughter. Root for the kids, give them your support with your presence and cheers. But let our Coach deal with the refs, and instruct HIS players on how he wants them to play.
Maybe the AD should institute a code of behavior for the spectators.....after all, he has one for the athletes.

Jeff,
there's a list of conduct rules in place for every conference and every league, every division.
it's not the AD's job to make these rules, but to make sure that these rules are enforced under the OHSAA.
