Voting Location Changes

It appears that are at least two precincts that have a new voting location. 3-Q is now voting at Hayes - (It used to be at Roosevelt). I met someone in 3-M who said her's had changed to Hayes too.

I am working on finding out if there are any others because I think there are. While I'm not sure of the reasoning (and it's been hard to find out), it's important that we all check our cards as they arrive from the Board of Elections.

Please tell your friends and family to check their cards.

Absolutely right. I live in 3-M and just got the cards in the mail and I now vote at Hayes.

Thanks for the heads up to check them, I just tossed them to the side assuming it was Roosevelt as it always has been!

I don't think it's up to date. It still says I vote at Roosevelt, but the card I got in the mail said Hayes.

Apparently many locations have been changed. I have contacted the Sun News to try to get the changes posted there ASAP. I will put out here a cross reference list.

Please check your card that you get from the board of elections and tell your friends.

Okay, here are the changes as far as I've received from the BOE:

If you are in 2G, 3M or 3Q and you used to vote at Roosevelt - you now vote at Hayes.

If you are in 3D and you used to vote at the Westerly - you now vote at Lakewood Presbyterian Church

If you are in 2F and you used to vote at Lakewood United Methodist Church - you now vote at Lakewood Presbyterian Church

If you are in 2J and you used to vote at St. Clements - you now vote at Hayes Elementary

If you are in 1A and you used to vote at Horace Mann - you now vote at McKinley

If you are in 1B or 1M and you used to vote at Horace Mann - you now vote at The YMCA

If you are in 4M and you used to vote at Cove Church - you now vote at Garfield Middle School

If you are in 4C or 4F and you used to vote at City Hall - you now vote at Garfield Middle School

If you are in 4G or 4K and you used to vote at City Hall - you now vote at Harrison Elementary

If you are in 3G and you used to vote at Emerson - you now vote at Garfield Middle School

If you are in 4L or 4P and you used to vote at Franklin - you now vote at Harrison Elementary.

As I said - this is what we received from the BOE. Please check your card to verify. As of this morning, the map on the BOE website had NOT been updated.
