Random Acts of Kindness

Post by Jennifer Desilets »

I posted on an earlier thread that the Brake 4 Kids signs on my and my neighbor's had been stolen.

Tonight as I was reading to my son, a kind citizen, who shall remain nameless (hint: Lakewood Law Dept. Director) appeared at my door with replacement signs. He was on his way home from work and stopped to drop them off to me.

It was small gesture, but enormously thoughtful. Who said Lakewood isn't a small town?!

It is a small town. He stopped at my house next with shiny bracelets, a ride, and a tour of the booking office.

Seriously, it is a small grand friendly town.

I have noticed that, in my 3.5 years of living here, that people are far more friendly than in Elyria, where I moved from.

Man, I love it in the Wood.

What's REALLY interesting is how the LO project helps this small town get the word out, pass along information and show where a helping hand is needed.

Jennifer wonders about the whereabouts of her sign, here on the deck, and VOILA, another Observer responds.

Jim posts, well a variety of things, and gets.....
