Well, at least the Mild West. It is kind of nice that the news story calls Crocker Park what it is, namely a Mall. Too often it wants to pretend it is "just another street corner" but it is just a quaintly configured strip mall.

Darn tootin. Had the same moment myself today.

I was down at Easton today, the super-sized Crocker Park outside Columbus.
It's not the salvation or death of civilizaiton. It's not even a social phenomenon.

It's a malll with a theme. And the theme is "looks like an old downtown." The way a PT Cruiser looks like a 1940-something something.

Just a fun place to have a drink, a meal, do a littlle window-shopping, No more, no less.

I agree with the analogy.

The PT Cruiser is nothing more than a Dodge Neon, that has been made to look "kind of" cool. The fact is it will never even be as good as a Dodge Neon, because the Dodger Neon was design to work together. The body is light enough that it does not stress out the frame. But the PT Cruiser's frame bends the life of the PT Cruiser is also very short.

As with everything we talk of here. The PT Cruiser is perfect if they want the "feel" of an old car without any of the bad suspension or violent acceleration that would come with a real thing. To each his/her own. But the person who wants the PT Cruiser, really wanted the hotrod. Nothing like the real thing. Even the PT Cruiser owner wants a real woody.

This is like the VW beetles that came about a few years ago, initially selling for thousands over sticker price. My understanding is that they are just a VW Gulf with a shell. The VW Gulf was just a recincarnated Rabbit.
