I am seeking advice on moving to Lakewood. My husband and I currently rent in Cleve. Hts. and are looking to buy a house next Spring. We are in full research mode as to where we want to "settle". We love the Hts., and thought we would buy here, but as of late we are opening up our minds to other areas.

Thanks.
Jen,
I lived in Lakewood for 20 years before a job change took me south. During the time I lived in Lakewood, I worked at Case and had many, many co-workers who lived in the heights, particularly Cleveland Heights. I will predict that if you "love the Hts.", you will adore or worship Lakewood.
Whatever Cleveland Heights has can be found in greater quanity in Lakewood except for maybe crime.
I sometimes laughed and often sympathized with the complaints of my poor co-workers who live in Cleveland Heights. Move to Lakewood. Find a good house on a nice street and in 18 months you'll be saying "I can't believe we liked it so well in that east side hell-hole."
If I were to move back to Cuyahoga County, I wouldn't consider living anywhere else than Lakewood. I've been in Virginia almost two years, and I look at this forum regularly. That ought to tell you something right there.
