When we wake up Friday Morning.

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

When Observers wake up Friday morning it will all be different.

None of us will see the city, the county the same.

We will all walk lighter in our shoes, as we take our next step into the uncharted world of the future.

Thank you for all that have made this possible.

peace.

Mabye they will put something in the water. Some kind of special kool-aid? Or maybe we will wake up and find out we are part of a reality show and nothing is real like that one Jim Carey played in. 8)

I'm guessing that the beta testing is complete and Jim is finally ready to roll out the new look LO online.

But since I'm short on patience, I think I'll just try to go to sleep now and set my alarm for Friday morning.

Either that, or the server is estimated to reach capacity on Friday, and the whole thing is going to go poof.....

Or perhaps, The check from the Plain Dealer will finally clear the bank and by Friday morning Jim will have officially sold the LO franchise and be sitting on a beach sipping pina coladas.

(wait a minute, like Jim would ever sell out to the PD, and even if he did, they probably couldn't pay him enough to get him to Edgewater Beach)

That's funny, I don't feel any different.

This Friday?

did I miss something?

Waking up today and having nothing happen, was like discovering the truth behind Santa Claus... :D

Yes it was this friday, but will be put off a week.

Sorry, legalities!

One thing that has happened is The Lakewood Observer, Inc. advisory board now owns the Lakewood Observer. This does not inculde Ken Warren who did not take a share as he feared conflict of interest.

This would be a step to make the LO a true community owned paper. What this means for Lakewood will be laid out in the coming weeks. What I like about this is the Advisory Board has only agreed a handful of times in four years!

For the real life changing part hopefully next Friday.
