local motels

Post by Bill Davis »

We have family coming to visit soon, and I was wondering about local motels/hotels. Where would you suggest, either out I-90 or downtown? Are there any truly suitable places in Lakewood? It doesn't have be luxurious, but not rundown either.

Thanks for any input.

My family has stayed at the Marriot off 90 West. They used to stay at the Holiday Inn in Westlake but they said it was going downhill!!!

Hi,
Where possible we stay at townplace suites (See: http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/c ... -westlake/ )

They are roomy and not too expensive. We have no experience with any of the Lakewood accommodation's.

We use priceline.com a lot in the Cleveland area and the marriott on 150th accepts some pretty low offers. ($35-$45 a night). Their are also a couple in Westlake I have been to on priceline as well.

If you are going to try make sure you start with the highest star in a single location and add locations and drop stars only if offers are not accepted. You cannot just increase the bid without changing some other settings.

Hotel in Lakewood

How is the Days Inn on Lake Ave? It was good enough for my wedding guests and Jose Mesa about 9 years ago!

You can walk to the stores and restaurants on 117 and Clifton.
