Grace,
It's a college drinking game. And is a nuisance to neighbors.

It's basically a modern day horse shoe game. The teams stand n number of feet apart and toss a small beanbag at a (usually) plywood box with a small hole in it. The idea is to get the beanbag into the hole.

Typically the beanbag makes a lot of noise when it hits the plywood box. Some of the plywood boxes I've heard, oops, seen, actually amplify the noise. On top of that you have a bunch of drinkers that hoot and holler every time the bag gets close to the hole.

Joe

Good description of the GAME of CORNHOLE. But, I thought what was asked is "what is a cornhole"......there is possibly a different response to that question.....

Ah yes, you described my experience with it to a tee. I being the annoyed neighbor. EVERY weekend my neighbor has cornhole parties. UGH! The thumps aren't half as bad as the hoot and hollering though.

Stan, I can't tell from your reply if you are serious or joking. I assume you are joking, but...

The issue is a basic lack of courtesy towards neighbors and a complete lack of respect for their privacy. Especially during the night.
