The Erie Native Americans told stories of the Great White Squirrel
"White Squirrels are considered to be sacred signs in several Native American religions, and thus have great spiritual importance in those cultures, and are visited for prayer and other religious ceremonies."

"The very act of observing disturbs the system." Werner Heisenberg
"If anything I've said seems useful to you, I'm glad.
If not, don't worry. Just forget about it." His Holiness The Dalai Lama
As one who has been part of the Greater Cleveland Native American community, I know the legends well. There is also the White Buffalo story, and many other beautiful legends to contemplate, some of which are secret.
I would never reveal the location of this animal.
I would only say that that squirrel really lives in the hearts of those who know what's really important in this often-materialistic and self-absorbed world. Those who are meant to see it, will.

Next thing you know, someone will be pulling down all the maple trees, probably citing the "influx" of squirrels from "other neighborhoods".
No. That's not what's going on Gary. AT&T took out the nice trees for their pretty boxes. My theory is the white squirrels are actually contained in those boxes. Yep, and at night, Jeff rides around town in his 'Cuda' with his tin foil hat on and communicates orders to the white squirrels and releases them from the boxes. I am certain that Jeff orders the squirrels to take down any hoops they can find. It's that simple.
I've been seeing black and brown squirrel for years. Now, we have a white squirrel. There goes the neighborhood. What are we going to do with these new thug squirrels. They have no respect. They will walk right out in into the street and just stand there.
Those aren't brown squirrels, they're Red Squirrels!
And while I haven't seen the white squirrel, there's a baby bunny in our yard that I hope doesn't visit the back yard... because the dogs are fixated on the squirrels and I'd hate to have them get a taste of Hassenpfeffer.

I heard the tree values next to them are all declining... /chuckle
oh no, is the 'Wood becoming a squirrel ghetto? If one of THEM are moving in, there's sure to be more of THOSE white squirrels coming behind them. We better pack up and move to Avon ... I hear they have our kind of squirrels!
