SOUPER MARKET IS SUPER!

Post by Stan Austin »

Just my luck--- I was driving down Detroit, headed towards Warren, right in front of the LO World Headquarter. My stomach was growling a little. Sort of an in between lunch/dinner type feeling. I look to my right and lo and behold!!!!!!!

There's an OPEN sign in the new Souper Market! So, I turn the corner and park in the Muny lot and stroll into the new store. Several stacks of the Observer are laid out.

I grab a menu for a perusal. It registers pretty quick that this is going to be an oft times visited spot so might as well just pick one because I'm gonna get 'em all sooner or later.

I ordered the pulled chicken noodle which was served with a big hunk of bread.

The soup was delicious---- the bread fortifying.

Folks--- check this place out. Soups, salads, lunch, dinner, or that sort of in between.

I was finally able to enjoy the Souper Market this week. It's just fantastic. So far I've had the Cream of Wild Mushroom and Sweet Corn and Potato Chowder. I'd highly recommend both, although I'm told I'm a little strange for liking cream of mushroom soup :).

For anyone looking for something sweet, definitely check out the Chocolate-Coffee bisque they have on special this week. That alone is definitely worth the trip.

This place is great! Does anyone know why they're closed on Saturdays now?

I hope they're getting enough business...

I was there last night talking to the young lady at the counter. She said business has been great, especially the lunch crowd. I didn't notice that they were now closed on Saturday, but I would assume it's because of the drop off of business.
