Fantastic job on the photos Bryan!
Looks as if you got the "scoop" on the others as well!
I was sidelined today due to a twisted ankle. No parade banjo playing by me.
It really looks to have been an outstanding parade!
Great car Jim! Isetta or Heinkel? I can't tell from the angle.
Can a King Midget be long in coming?

You were missed, it was a fun time.
As Ivor mentioned 58 Isetta, although I almost bought a 56 Heinkel, and now I am looking for a 58 Janus.
I want to thanks the Observers that showed up, many after walking in other groups.
It was a great day in Lakewood.
peace

Thanks Gary. I'm excited to see the others' shots, I'm sure mine will pale in comparison.Gary Rice wrote:Fantastic job on the photos Bryan!
I put together this photo slideshow to music that I think better captures the spirit of the parade:

Note: It's about 40mb so it's not for those on a slow connection.

Hey Mike, thanks!Mike Deneen wrote:Nice job by Ivor and Bryan. Don't be modest, Bryan, yours are very good.
However, Bryan, I can't get your music slideshow to work.
The parade is definitely my favorite Lakewood event of the year.
I think I fixed the link for the slideshow, it should work now.

I'm fixing up a few of the others to add to the set. Hopefully will have those up tonight or tomorrow.
Right now I decided to go on a ride in the metroparks. Now that it looks like it's not going to rain, it's too nice of an evening to pass that up.

Great job on those photos as well Ivor, and thanks (Jim too) for the Isetta ID. Thanks for missing me too. I'm sure I missed a great time!
I should've known it was an Isetta. If I were half asleep and the shot was taken at midnight, I should have known it was an Isetta.
Bryan, I believe that you've just joined an elite group of photographers. What a talented bunch!
One day, I'll probably relate my own Isetta story; the day I drove Neil Zurcher's 1957 Isetta in a Wooly Bear Parade.
As long as I live, I doubt whether I'll forget that one.
Let's just say that it was discovered at the last minute that Neil's Isetta needed a bit more tweaking to be parade-ready.
Well, perhaps a bit more than that...
We finished the parade tied to the back bumper of Neil's Metropolitan. Neil sat with torso exposed through the sunroof of the Isetta, arms waving all around. His wife Bonnie towed us in the Met' while I did the best I could to get the Isetta to behave, while smiling and waving to the crowd all the time.
All good fun.
For those interested in more of the nitty-gritty details of this particular escapade, you have only to look in Neil Zurcher's "More One Tank Trips" postscript.
My life has indeed been full, and at times in the retelling, nearly beyond belief.

Thanks Gary. Of course all those photos were taken with my little Kodak v550. Thanks to all the help in my thread about digital SLRs, I think I really want to pick up a Canon Rebel XTI like I wanted to a long time ago. However, buying my first house seemed to have mysteriously sucked up all my available money lolGary Rice wrote:Bryan, I believe that you've just joined an elite group of photographers.
