I'll tell you guys a secret. Don't tell anybody. I saw that movie 9 times in the theater. Also, I took my (to be) wife to see it as a first date in 79 at the Riverside Theater! Ha. My brother and I were wearing black Lycra (wool then) around town well before it was in vogue... :)

I actually swam in that quarry, shopped at that A&P....by the way, the tension between the students and the townies didn't exist....

This may be installed in my home tomorrow -- I'll report back afterward.

I'll be interested to hear how it goes. Do you currently use Cox for your Internet connection?.

There's a bit more info here. Doesn't show as available (yet) for my number.

Looks like ATT is a little slow updating the database. I tried an Akron address after I read a huge news story. Not available there either.
Guess we'll have to wait for the attack of the telemarketers.

According to the news release, the 2 free months with money-back guarantee offer is only valid until June 30. Now we all know that they'll continue to offer that carrot as long as they need to in order to get a critical mass of users going.

Still, I've had so much trouble with Dish NotWork that I'm dying to try it out.

edit: just called the customer service number and they said that, while the service is announced as generally available in the area, not all addresses are currently active. Basically, you still have to rely on the website to tell you if it's available for your number yet. *sigh*

Insider tip from a cousins next door neighbors brother in laws friend.
The "available" address database is likely maintained by a third party firm. How up to date the database is depends on how reliable the communication chain is between ATT, the 3 rd party, and possibly the 3 rd party in charge of maintaining the ATT website. These days nothing is done "in house"

That's a TRIPLE *sigh*

The updates to the database are probably on their way via snail mail to India to be inputed...

I probably wouldn't switch from Cox anyway. U-Verse Internet (as I read it) is still just DSL. Too slow for me as I'm too far from the switch and wouldn't get the advertised speed anyway. Cox speed is so-so but has been reliable. I wouldn't get dish.

DSL can be very fast, but some time ago the ISPs put software "brakes" on the signals so they could charge more for different tiers.

I used to get a speed close to T1 way back when on DSL.

Sure. Of course it can be fast. But just like cable, there are a lot of variables involved by the time it gets to your NIC. Then, once past your NIC there are even more variables... computers stink... :)
