Library Gala update

Post by Jeff Endress »

Hard to believe, but the Library's "First to See the Best" gala is in less then 2 weeks! Saturday, June 23 is almost here.

The response has been outstanding! We are limited to 600 attendees, because of fire codes. We have already received well over 500 paid reservations. If you plan on attending, please get your reservation in. The deadline is June 14, (when we have to give our Caterer, Sammy's, the final number).

We fully expect this to be a sell out, so if you are planning on attending, please get your RSVP in.

It looks like the auctions (both silent and live) will be a lot of fun. Donations are still coming in, and it looks like we'll have over 300 superb items on which to bid (including many baskets with assorted items)...art, sports, recreation, food, travel...you name it, it's all here. Many one of a kind, unavailable at any price items....Want a ride over Lakewood in the Goodyear Blimp? How about "producing" a channel 3 newscast?

This is going to be a great time, and provide for some great public art.

Is this a black tie event? Black tie optional?

Cocktail attire - ties are optional...pants are not.
