The Lakewood Alumni Foundation will award more than $35,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors this spring. NOW is the time to apply!!
Applicants must be graduating seniors of Lakewood High School intending to attend a four-year college or university this fall. The application is online at www.lakewoodrangers.com. The online application must be submitted by Friday, April 13th at midnight. Letters of recommendation can be submitted to the alumni office on Monday April 16th.

Frequently asked questions:

1. But my parents aren't alumni.
That's ok. Your parents don't have to be alumni for you to qualify. However, if your parents are alumni, please make sure to indicate that on your application form.

2. Aarrgh!! Another essay???
Relax! This should be a fun, easy essay to write. It's just intended to give our scholarship selection committee a little insight about your LHS experience. It's also a nice conversation starter if an applicant is nervous at the interview.

3. I don't know how to attach a .jpg photo.
That's ok. Just turn a photo into our office on Monday, April 16th and we'll scan it.

4. Do I have to ask a teacher for a new letter of recommendation?
No. You can choose one that already may be on file in guidance.

5. When are the interviews?
All of the interviews will take place on Thursday, April 19th, in the morning in the LRC. You'll be notified of your interview time on Tuesday, April 17th.



Thanks for spreading the word about this great scholarship program. We're accustomed to students waiting until the last minute, but things seem to be moving a little slower than usual and we don't want anyone to miss out on this great opportunity.
