Shopping in the Wood

Post by Mark Crnolatas »

Ok. I would like to buy a pair of jeans here in the wood. Does anyone sell them?

Mark:

You missed The Beat, next to Westwood Cleaners. Sold jeans and hand drums, but alas, she's gone.

If the jeans are for your wife, or you're hoping to get in touch with your feminine side, try Turnstyle on Madison.

They have nice women's apparel at The Mission on Madison (near Sherwin Williams)...not sure if they have denim or not.

really? From the window it looks like things that are better worn in private. See, there's always more to be learned.

we went in a year ago at halloween time while looking for costumes. I remember it felt like a Coventry shop. They definitely had some unique items that you would have a hard time finding anywhere else and it wasn't all like the window displays present. There were some shoes and shirts I think.
While Charyn is right that it wasn't the soccer mom/professional demographic, I'm not sure how to describe the target clientel. Unlike some of the other stores around that never cross my mind, I would think of the Mission if I was looking for something out of the ordinary.

They have a lot of cute stuff that I would like to be able to wear... They also have some club clothes and some wild stuff, which is usually what's in the window!

But I've aged and expanded out of that market.

So if I buy a pair of jeans from here in the Wood, but online, does that give me points for buying "in Lakewood"?

Hopefully Lakewood shopkeepers do a better job shoveling the snow in front of their own businesses this year.

They say if you are not part of the solution then you are part of the ..., so if any of the above need help with that, just post your business on here.

Mark,
I'll be sure to mark it in the book, which falls somewhere between Santa's list and your permanent record in terms of importance.
