“Bike Artâ€Â￾ Show at Spin Bike Shop Opens This Friday Even

Post by Tim Liston »

I just got wind of this and I thought I would pass it on....

Spin Bike Shop will be home to an innovative show of original bicycle-themed art pieces by local artists on Friday, Dec. 8th, 7 PM to 10 PM. The event is free and open to the public, and will include light refreshments. The works include oils, original prints, video, sculpture and mixed media craft items, some of which will be available for sale at the opening and throughout the show, which will run until January 1st. Spin Bike Shop is located right here in Lakewood at 14515 Madison.

Some of the art items will be for sale at the show, and a portion of the profits will benefit the Ohio City Bicycle Co-op, a non-profit, volunteer-driven cooperative bicycle education center located down in the Flats. Also, the OCBC art department will be at the opening to demonstrate bicycle art techniques!

I'm taking the liberty of providing a link to some of the OCBC bike sculptures here but don't let is spoil the fun because there will be a lot more to see at Spin next Friday through the rest of December. But the free eats are this Friday evening only!

I bought a bike a few years ago from Spin soon after they opened. Since that time, they have acquired the storefront next door. They have a nice shop and are definitely an asset to Lakewood.

Doug

disclaimer that JOB likes: I have no connection except I purchased a bike there and have observed their storefront while going down Madison.

I too bought a bike there, and it's great. They gave me excellent service, from sales to helping out afterward. They really know their "stuff" there, Thumbs up for Spin.

Also not affiliated with them other than a satisfied customer.
