Jeff---- Just imagine that the assembly line that manufactures Heinze's Tomato Soup just switched over to manufacture Cambells's Tomato Soup.
At the soup bowl level we wouldn't notice a difference.
I'm thinking of walking more and disregarding all this complicated rebate and coupon stuff.
Maybe the garlic in a jar will help.

It would probably help with the Tomato Soup, but I'm not at all sure how it would help with the Getgo gas issue.......
Although I suppose if you consumed enough, you may be able to overwhelm the attendant.

As reported here first, two weeks ago if you read the paper. That's right another Lakewood Observer scoop. Ken Warren's "In The Eagle's Claw" states clearly that Ralph's was the GetGo.
Last night at revue board, signage was approved and put up. Today it became a GetGo.
Those who know Ralph, know he always runs a good clean operation. I would imagine that Giant Eagle is more interested as Stan says in the coupon voucher program kicking off, than any serious changes.
Ralph will still be at his other station. He will be the one with the big smile.
Kudos to Ken Warren for the great sleuthing.

Ralph has evidently leased the property to GetGo.
Giant Eagle should complete the move across the street by December 18th. As has been previously reported here, the Rego Brothers own the Bunts property where Giant Eagle presently resides and no decisions have yet been made about what to do with that property.
Giant Eagle is going to keep the 116th location open, because it serves the Gold Coast and they are going to move forward with the SuperStore on 117th.

David:
You sound excited. Are you about to purchase an automobile in order to take advantage of the fuel perk program? Or do you anticipate a Gray Market/ Barter Exchange in fuel perks?
I've always felt the Sunoco sign looked rather handsome, at least in the vocabulary of gas station signs.
As much I as love to shill good news in the Wood, I have got to say the GetGo sign looks rather hideous - small, anemic color tones, a morsel of a shape totally undistinguished for the Giant Eagle's claws, much less for a "Main Street" retro history aesthetic.
It's another clear sign that economy will structure the look of things in accordance with the demos and cash flows available down Detroit Avenue, no matter the undercapitalized aesthetic dreams that float from our metaphors.
