Lakewood OHIO, right?

Post by c. dawson »

I was looking over the PDF version of the new edition of the Observer, and I couldn't help but notice a nice big ad on Page 16 (classifieds/real estate) for "Neighborly By Design," the Pine River Village, which blends "the comforts and charms of small town living with the conveniences of today."

I thought it looked pretty interesting and wondered where this new development was going in town, having never heard of it previously, but at the bottom of the add, it notes that it's in Lakewood NEW JERSEY.

What gives? Is the Observer increasing its wingspan to cover other communities named Lakewood? :)

The Lakewood Observer is attracting attention to the city through a variety of sources. The Observer project is seen by many as the cutting edge of citizen journalism. Last months 1,975,324 hits did not all come from Lakewood. The nearly 7,000 .pdf file downloads rarely come from Lakewood.

But I have to admit I did not argue with the advertising company when they placed the ad.

Having lived in New Jersey for eight years, I was delighted to see the ad and to notice that real estate is priced below what I would have expected.

The Lakewood Observer's manic marketing thrust - "All Lakewood; All the Time" is rippling with realtors across the globe, hopeful to capture Woodies with disposable cash for their Wood.

The NJ pines is giving Rockport a run for the money.

With savvy design and good luck, the Lakewood Observer's manic marketing and economic solidarity efforts will extend the vibe of good neighbor and the spirit of belonging to all our Lakewood namesakes across the nation.

Perhaps the Lakewood Observer might create a trading places tourist, hospitality swap with Woodies in NJ, Colorado, Oregon, etc.

hey, if advertisers from other Lakewoods want to advertise in the Observer, let 'em! The money will only help keeping this an excellent and successful product.
