This thread was started as too many people were confusing The Lakewood Observer's 2nd Annual Hillbilly Hollar New Year's Eve Bash, Barn Dance And Festival.
This IS NOT a sanctioned event by the City Of Lakewood, and/or The Chamber of Commerce/Mainstreet and/or LCPI and/or Lakewood's Animal Shelter, and not part of the Light Up Lakewood events.

In this season of giving, I would be happy to take one for the team as it is something I do have a background in.
But that means I would need you or even Jay to come to the Hillbilly Hollar New Year's Eve Bash as Baby New Year. Which makes me wonder if LakewoodAlive made room for the flaming monkey in Sinagra Park on December 31!This IS NOT a sanctioned event by the City Of Lakewood, and/or The Chamber of Commerce/Mainstreet and/or LCPI and/or Lakewood's Animal Shelter, and not part of the Light Up Lakewood events.

Jim, you crack me up! I do think the flaming monkey on New Years eve, may become a unique Lakewood Attraction!! I'm dying to see it.
But I have to know are these monkeys on skateboards? and how do they handle it if we have lots of snow?
Of course, I'm assuming no actual monkey will be harmed during this and that there will be a disclaimer for children not to try this at home.

While there will be a disclaimer for the children. "Children under the age of 10 should not try to light monkeys AT HOME without parental supervision." At this time, I cannot make any promises about the monkeys. In test we have found them very hard to keep lit.
We had a citizens advisory board that have most of this figured out. It was suggested that we might look at Snow Monkeys. The only one of those we could find was at the zoo. Every time we got a Bic® Lighter near him/her we got bit.

If you get hurt or fall at the event it wasn't sponsored by me either!
