Lakewood Observer TV!

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Now you can watch all of us building the Lakewood Brand on TV!

We have reached an agreement with Cox Cable to host a two hour TV show every other week on Cox Channel 45. Simply called Lakewood Observer TV. The early format is a talk, interview, variety show that will broadcast from a different location each time around Lakewood.

This show will highlight politics, the arts/music, and the thoughts and opinions of Lakewoodites on the streets of this great city. It will be repeated through-out the month.

Launch date is set for September, and in full swing for back to school, the fall holidays and the election cycle.

If anyone is interested in working on this project please drop me a line through PM or email.

Working together we build a better Lakewood.

Congratulations Jim and everyone.

Are you going to have .avi files available on this site or perhaps videos available on video.google.com?

We are working on a way for people to submit mpg, avi, wmv, mp3 and .pdf files. Much of the power of this project cannot be seen by most, and is part of a much larger project. We are trying to keep everything smooth and tight. By their nature many of these files are space hogs, and also time hogs. We want to make it convenient for most.

We already have a pretty good library of Local bands, on the street interviews from Sam Phillips, scenes from the documentary on the Lakewood Observer. .pdf from LakewoodAlive, Grow Lakewood, Cox Communications, the library, school and developers, and the recordings of Lakewood City Council meetings.

When we smooth out the process, the library will go live. The LO "staff" is not sitting still. We are bringing some incredible things online in the next twelve months and not just the website and paper. LO has signed on with the Hospital to sponsor Starry Night, have signed on with the library for films and a very special concert in the park later this year, and other music adventures later in the year.

Thanks for asking.
