There is no mistaking that I will be happy when Bush's time is over; however, regardless of whether I like it or not he won BOTH elections.
Period.
It wasn't the first time that an election was won by the e/c and not the popular vote and it may not be the last if the process isn't changed (it IS outdated and no longer serves the purpose it was created to serve).
That doesn't change the fact that this was the system that everyone ran under and that everyone faced the same situation.
Instead of trying to blame this and that, democrats need to get their whining little heads our of their proverbial behinds and come together with a plan and a purpose. That is what the republicans did while the democrats were in power and they did it VERY effectively - despite some of the shadier assistance.

In the meanwhile...
Terry you are just plain tiresome. Kucinich has done what the majority of the people have wanted him to do over the last several years - this is why he gets re-elected. He represents what they want him to represent. Everyone? Of course not - he doesn't win 100% of the vote... but it is only the majority that he needs to serve in a representative democratic system. Of course there us the issue that there is no viable replacement for him a well....
Oh - and while I am being feisty...
Who in the world decided to coin the phase 'the Kuch'?? Oh for Heaven's sake - the man is not a football player. Not to mention the fact that the pronunciation of that word is eerily similar to one that is heard among giggling 7th grade boys on the playground in anatomical discussions. Please flog the responsible party soundly!!

i know a handful of male cheerleaders who rallied up LHS students back in my high school days. they did not wear skirts. they did, however, date the female cheerleaders and were quite popular among the students.

Now no matter how you slice it, the company drilled dry wells and the Saudis and Bin Ladin family constantly bailed him out. Now I did not want to strike a low blow using the BinLadin family name. But as long as you bring in up. Of course this deal was put together by his close friend in the National Guard, that was also AWOL for months at a time. You remember, back when GWB wouldn't take a physical because of cocaine problems. I mean why bring that up? Even though he did not go through a program, after coming in and throwing up on the shoes of one of his dad's biggest donors. Soon after, some say within minutes, Billy Graham, had convinced him that Jesus was an option. Of course this was years before Karl Rove, the same one that IS a target of the courts, and close friend of Jack Abrahamoff, told GWB in a meeting, to paraphrase, "We can milk this Christian thing and get you elected Governor." But why throw that in while we are talking about Congressman Dennis Kucinich who has constantly be badgered for not taking bribes. Whose career was almost ended when he fought for the citizens of Cleveland, and would not sell out for the dollar. You know the congressman that had the nerve to go against the tide and say things like, "This will become a quagmire, "Iraq is a war about oil, not security," "why are we dropping the ball on the search for BinLadin," But we all know that now.

Don't imagine I'll ever understand this loyalty based solely on political party. Can't republicans stand up for their belief in their political philosophy without accepting, excusing, what this President has done, and continues to do?
Along with being the worst President he is also a lousy liar. In fact both of these two men, President Bush and Congressman Kucinich (I'm guessing)are lousy liars. Most people can see right through bush's harmful tales, admittedly or not.
And Dennis, well he just hasn't had the practice at it.

I have a post on this board that has been up for at least a year. It also appears on other boards. The question is simple.
When has George W. Bush ever been honest with the American people?
It has never been answered! Many I have talked to from the "right" have said, "We are not going to fall for this trick."!
The sad thing is they fall for every other "trick." then can be baited into discussion about anything but how truthful the president is.
My only reason for asking is that the "right" railroaded the last president into court and impeachment for a single lie, about something in his private life, between three adults. Now when Slick Willy interrupted TV to lie to us, I had to agree, a lie is a lie. And when that lie comes from an employee it cannot be tolerated. As it had nothing to do with business, a slap on the wrist was permissible I suppose. But this current administration is out of control, and cannot tell the truth.
When it became the most secretive government of ALL TIME(think about that) many of us said, "They have to be hiding something." We were right, they are hiding the gutting and theft of everything America owns and hold deep to it's heart. Yesterday I was watching one from the "right" explain with record oil profits the problem was with the government taxing it too much! One small problem, record profits do not come back to help the country like gas taxes do. Now this is an easy argument to make to an idiot. "Lower taxes will help." But any person with an ounce of smarts will realize that gas taxes have not gone up, but oil prices have. All while the oil companies make record profits!
When I see someone like Kate blindly support anything, no matter how foul the topic is, I know there is no common sense and no reason at play. With Kate it is always bothersome, because we have talked, we know who is running the country and the world, and it is not the people, it is not the government.
