Hall House/Edwards Parking Lot Meeting Tonight 4/27

The Committee as the Whole of Lakewood City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Lakewood City Hall Auditorium. The meeting will focus entirely on the parking lot proposal for Edwards and Detroit and the fate of the Mathew Hall house. This may be the last public meeting on this topic.

City Council voted down the ordinances for the parking lot this evening:

Antonio NO
Butler NO
Demro NO
Madigan NO
Seelie YES

Dever and Fitzgerald were unable to attend due to prior professional and family commitments and were excused by Council. This was a hastily called meeting with members of council getting just over 48 hours notice.

Here is the catch, Seelie tried to resurrect the ordinances by referring them to Committee of the Whole again. The vote was

I am not sure that this maneuver is legal according to Robert's Rules, but the council president rarely follows them anyway.
