What If:

What if, the State only sent the Federal Government 50% of the federal excise tax on gas. Keeping its, 50% share to be used within the state for roadways?

What if, 50% of your federal income tax was sent back to the State for its funding of programs and schools. No more Congressional Committees, to decide what and where pork projects would happen. No more Lobbying for special interest groups, since all special interests would be dealt with at the State level.

The Federal Government would be able to concentrate on problems with the country. Not being influenced by special interest groups from any state. There would be less committees to take up Congresses time and they might be able to pass some meaningful legislation??

So What If, 50% of excise tax and Federal Income tax, remained in your State? Do you think each State would improve itself and its standards for the people?? Would people pay closer attention to the people they elect to office??
