Mr O'Bryan

I fully agree with Terry re Mr DANK - Dennis Achieves Nothing Kucinich

Without typing a 3+ page mini-thesis on his Zero Accomplishments for the group he is paid to represent , I again ask his supporters to point out WHAT he has done specifically FOR the residents of the 10th District in his 9+ years of "work' in DC on our behalf .

Aside from a LESS than average return back to NE Ohio of our Federal gasoline tax dollars ( I-71, I-77, I-480 and I-90 not withstanding ) , the only thing that comes to my mind is the large number of State Of Ohio Unemployment checks his ( lack of ) actions has generated locally .

re your opinion :"serving Cleveland better than any other mayor" - Surely you jest ? If he served Cleveland so well almost 30 years ago WHY the SPECIAL RECALL ELECTION which he carried by 200 votes out of 120,000 ? and WHY did his party fail to even re nominate him for a second term as the incumbent ?

IMO - he is so isolated even his fellow Dems voted him OUT as chairman of the liberal Dem Caucus last year - He has NO support from even his own party and we the residents of Dist 10 suffer for his mouth , antics and ego .

Tomorrow Monday 4/09 he has been invited to debate/defend his past record at the on going bi yearly Cleveland City Club pre election meetings. Based upon his MIA status in 2004 - I expect he will again likely pass ie ignore this civil opportunity for interested / concerned District 10 residents - Really PATHETIC for "our" REPRESENTative , but considering his 'local accomplishments' , it is probably better to hide than try defend a zero record .

If you are really a proponent or supporter - I ask you to list what POSITIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS he has achieved for the residents of District 10 in the past 2 or 10 years . Hopefully Losing only half the jobs at long established local businesses etc is not one/more of the items on your/his list ?

I await your reply !

Typical of Dennis attackers.

Blind comments, negative digs, no facts on what Congressman Kucinich has been doing, but in this country all we need is hate, and hollow statements.

So seeing how you are now stuttering when asked to back up you warrantless attacks I will throw out a couple and ask you your opinion on why they go against everything you believe and do not put us in a good light.

The War - voted against it. As Any Sane Politician Would Have.

Food information act - A pet project he has started and has been trying to push through.

Re-organization of the money system in America - Something Nixon screwed up and might be our third biggest problem to the top two.

OK let me know why this work is bad or against us?

Let's be honest no Democrat has been able to get anything done for the past 8 years unless they sell their soul to get into Republican good graces. I am proud that Congressman Kucinich has decided to stick to his beliefs and morals. While the Republican Right claims God and Jesus, Congressman Kucinich lives the life Jesus would be proud of.

Not an accomplishment but I was proud of Congressman Kucinich when he not only ran for President, but carried the views of 47% of America into the spotlight night after night. Not caving into pressure like every other candidate.

And as mayor, he did the single bravest act I have ever seen a politician perform. Putting his entire future on the line in a fight against the banks and money managers of Cleveland. Today Cleveland Power is everything he said and promised.

I am sure Congressman Kucinich will not be dragged into Abramhoff's trial like every Republican will and a handful of Democrats. Because Dennis represents the people.

Look forward to your answer on where he is on the three I listed, look forward to your list, and comments.

Typical Political "Answers" . Why address the questions asked rather run your mouth on your questions and padded answers.

QUESTION was/is : WHAT has he done in the past 2 or 9+ years SPECIFICALLY for District 10 voters ? not residents of Lakewood or Cleveland or Parma or NE Ohio or Ohio or Mid West or USA or World or Universe?

re your "Stick to his Beliefs" not Mr Flip Flop - ie Against Abortion then For Women's Rights now for women's rights as Democrat BUT personally against abortion - ie - Have it both ways for a while . Same for Love/Protect the Flag then okay to burn etc - Mr Flip Flop . Same for his recent "Present" congressional votes not Yeah/Nay on ethnic issues but rather Present - why vote on issues which affect local voters and could
"hurt" you potential re-election campaign ? Just vote Present !

re your "Lives the Life , Jesus would be proud" - agree if you mean - walking in the desert ( with his friend Shirley ).

He was a joke as the Boy Wonder Mayor , Is a joke as "the" REPRESENTative of District 10 and was/is a joke as the Dem party Candidate for president ( 2004 , 2008? 20012? etc ) He didn't even have the courtesy to throw his "support" (3% delegates) to Kerry at end - A real TEAM Player then and now - so long as team is dennis , djk and kucinich .

Even BLIND squirrels find nuts in winter . So 30 years after fact - CEI now a good decision - What about the accompanying Cleveland DEFAULT etc ? Wouldn't expect a directed reply since answer is obvious and NE Ohio is still paying for Boy wonder calls from the 1970's .

Apparently latest djk excuse as to why he wouldn't be able to attend the previously scheduled Cleveland City Club Debate today at noon- 1pm is his hastily scheduled - (not even on his websites) informational seminars at 10am and 1:30 pm . PATHETIC but if you have done nothing for the District 10 residents - easier to hide than defend your Did Nothing but re-elect me plea .

Again My QUESTION for you / other djk lovers is : WHAT Has he done SPECIFICALLY for the District 10 residents - either in the past 2 or 9+ years ??????? Zero - No answer is the default ( obvious ) answer and this is what I expect from you and/or others .

Dennis

It would be you running from the question. I personally think congressmen are sent to Washington to represent us. Our beliefs, and our thoughts on a national level. If they can get some action for their district good, but we know what dirty dealing and pork barrel politics it takes to get that. Also you would have to be a Republican to get anything done for the last 8 years. With that said, I am just happy that Congressman Kucinich has become the voice of reason and for the people in Washington.

What do you think the three biggest threats are facing America and us in the 10th district?

More importantly answer the question. How did he let us down. The name calling is very weak. I like Barbara Anne Farris, but I really have to wonder about those that are involved with her campaign of burn and hate. Ask her, I love talking with her, and appreciate her on this board. But letting thugs do the talking for her does not do her justice. The time of hate is over.

As you go Republican on Dennis, you know the party of lies, hate, theft, and abuse, you call it flip flopping, I call it education. At the same time I can easily understand his stand on abortion. Abortion is murder, but it is legal, as such we are all forced to follow the rule of law until it is changed. I also support the right of women to control their bodies. For that matter I support the right of men to control theirs as well.

That stance is not flip flopping, it is American.

As for the city in default, it only underlines your complete misunderstanding of the whole Cleveland Power power struggle. The banks not the mayor threatened to put the city in default over DK wanting to keep a second alternative out their for the public. He put his entire career on the line, for lower rates in Cleveland. Since that moment he has been proven right every year, and Cleveland is better off today because of it. But why not rewrite that history, you are rewriting everything else just to get one person elected. How refreshing.

re J O'Bryan Monday 4/10 9:49am post

1- "It would be you running from the question" Since question is again " What has present REPRESENTative done for 10th District in past 2 or 9+ years "- I fail to see how a question I posed about djk suggests I am running from my own question? please explain your logic .

2-" I personally think congressmen are send to Washington to represent us " Agree they represent US ( ie you / me etc ) not USA or him etc . Therefore since djk a left of left liberal please indicate where in Dist 10- Parma to Lakewood and in between were this super liberal population resides - For me most of Dist 10 is a conservative , older middle class , rust belted industrial region with many retired' residents - apparently I am not driving the right routes to see the "uber" liberal group . Can you point out where in Dist 10 they live ! and how they represent a majority of the 650,000 District 10 residents

3- Even given the last 5.5 years no-no-no dem support - djk in for nearly 10 years so i guess he was just learning the ropes for the first 4 under the Clinton dem leadership ? Overall In ANY area were he needs support from others , he fails , often spectacularly .

4- My thoughts on 3 biggest threats or your thoughts on same subject are NOT what was asked or wanted - Again question is " What has REPRESENTative done for Dist 10 in past 2 or 9+ years ? " Suggest trying to answer given question not change it .

5- How has he "Let us down" ? Ask what he has done with the default NOTHING and you will likely answer your own question .

6-your "Letting thugs do her talking" - Neither you nor I only the administer of site can "control" content - so what is posted by others is their responsibility to explain/defend etc and these differences of opinion are what freedom of speech and though are all about and makes these types of posts valuable .

7- Your Consecutive sentences - "Time of Hate over" and your next line re "party of lies , hate , theft and abuse " should / should not be viewed in this / your light . Over? or continuing? You suggest ending then even before ink is dried - continue this confrontational theme .

8 When you change your position to gain approval from others - and then regress back to your original position in the space of less than 1 year - you call that education - Sorry I and most others would say you/he sold out or compromised their principles or sold their soul to try to gain a goal .

9- re City Default - suggest you read or review original newspapers - PD , C Press and C Business papers and then Time and Newsweek etc for the 30 yr ago state of affairs . If you are old enough or choose to read these documents in the late 70's you might not have swallowed the djk line hook and stinker ie sinker unsupported claims. No "need" to rewrite history if you/djk only ones claiming how others mishandled the situation and left poor dennis holding the bag etc . His MO was well established by this time as demonstrated by these 70's events : Come in late or very late into a situation , call a press conference etc , get your 15 sec or 15 minutes face time on TV/papers - Blame someone else for the problem , wait 2-4 weeks for a second show hopefully on TV or in press , re-blame same or new others , and then move on to next disaster and repeat - Been "working for him for 35+ years - why quit now . only recent change is that he now attaches his name to others successful efforts . What a piece of work we have for our REPRESENTative .

When shown to be responsible or part of problem -just HIDE ( like today at downtown Cleveland City Club meeting or prior to the 2004 election debate )
'
10 AGAIN the ONLY QUESTION on the Table from Me is " WHAT HAS THE CURRENT REPRESENTATIVE DONE SPECIFICALLY FOR THE 10TH DISTRICT IN THE PAST 2 or 9+ years " Not what he claims to have done or submitted ( dead end ) legislation for NE OHIO , the USA , the World or the Universe etc Only FOR Ohio District 10 . DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE QUESTION ? The default answer is NOTHING which I believe is very close to the Truth and his/you refusal or inability to offer anything only continues to confirm my suspicions .

11- Likely I will claim use of your Dali Lama Quote and just forget about anything you've said until / unless you answer the ONLY QUESTION i have posed . ( See above )

Let me start with these two, I have the others ready to fire back, but seeing how the good doctor comes to the table light on facts let me do what I can in this short amount of time before I go home and answer you.

Barbara Anne Farris, who I considered a friend, certainly her father was in the old days of the Steak House was, did one of the most self centered ridiculous moves I have ever seen today. She stomped into a meeting that I got a notice of two months ago that was addressing the needs of preschool education, and a reform bill he had been working on.

What was gathered were 100+ educators from every suburb in the region. These people had come to talk about schools. Barbara stormed in, stood at the head of the room and looked mad. No explanation, just standing and looking sour to everyone. while Dennis was addressing the group about what they had been invited to participate in, she suddenly went on that attack. Mumbling about the City Club Debate, demanding to know why Dennis wasn't there. Well one reason was he had a meeting with Vets, about the lack of medical coverage and problems getting them to the hospital even when they have it.

That was a lively discussion where many Vets thanked Dennis for the balls to vote no on the War Powers Act. You know how earthy Vets get. Many very interesting things were discussed as Dennis worked the room. That meeting ran 45 minutes long because the Vets had a lot on their mind and Dennis was more than willing to listen and work with them.

Dennis and Elizabeth barely had time to hit a local Lakewood restaurant, one of their favorites before the largest group I have ever seen assembled came in for a very needed discussion about a bill Dennis had helped to craft.

After the room filled and the meeting commenced Barbara Anne Ferris stormed in and proceeded to make an ass out of herself as much as it pains me to say. Whoever gave her this advice was very out of touch with reality. But I am sure she was there late as you say to grab her 15 minutes of face time. This 15 minutes caused three Lakewood officials that work with kids to leave as they were on the clock and had to leave. So Lakewood gets shorted out of the discussion.

Even the media people thought it was a farce. Finally one teacher begged her to be quiet explaining, "I took time off work without pay, to work on this, to listen to Dennis and to see what this was about. Not to listen to you harp on him for something that has nothing to do with this meeting. This meeting was planned months ago, and we are glad Dennis kept his word to us instead of working on re-election. Finally, and I mean finally Barbara Anne Ferris left. It was em brassing. Many people there know I like Barbara Anne Ferris, and all came to ask what I think of my friend now. My answer, was it was embarrassing.

OK Muny Power, in august of 1995 the City of Cleveland issued a proclamation to Dennis Kucinich for his hard work at saving Muny Power. In the proclamation they figured it had saved the city over $300 million dollars, and that it was one of the greatest things ever done for the city. so you go back and read the Plain Dealer, the same one that tried to railroad him out of town, and read what the bankers told the PD to write, and take some sort of satisfaction in that. But the city of Cleveland sobered up and learned who really put the city in default, who really left the city to hang out to dry, and who turned their back on the residents and the city. His name WAS NOT Dennis Kucinich.

Now I answered your questions, answer mine.

How would Barbara Anne Ferris have voted for the War?

What does Barbara Anne Ferris think about the money supply and it's shortcomings. what are her plans to fix it.

What does Barbara Anne Ferris think about the greatest disaster of all time, the complete rape and pollution of our food sources.

I cannot wait for the answer on where she stands on this.

Barbara, you know I WAS more than willing to listen, and give you room. When I first talked with you you seemed pretty level headed. But today, whoever gave you this advice should be fired immediately it served you no good, and left educators from all over the county going back to their schools talking about what a farce that had been.

J O'Bryan :

Once again the question is "What has our REPRESENTative done specifically FOR the Residents Of Ohio District -10 in his 2 or 9+ years in Congress ?

Let me repeat that :

The question is "What has our REPRESENTative done specifically FOR the Residents Of Ohio District -10 in his 2 or 9+ years in Congress ?

So apparently you answer to the above question is : Some 20 years before he was elected to Congress to represent the Ohio-10 residents , he saved Muny Light ( exclusively for Dist 10 residents? ).

As said on a recent TV show series - IS this your Final Answer ?

Sorry but that is a No win answer to the posed question .

Care to try again ? or is the question too hard or the answer too obvious ?

I told you, the answer is coming and it is coming in a long list I have been working on.

But seeing how all you can do is go broken record or no record to run on. This will have to wait until later, when I have time to finish.

As you do not live in Lakewood, you probably do not understand what 39 less trains a day mean to us.

Just got home, food on the table but I want to make sure that I have answered your question honestly, so will finish later.

As you must have a phd. in avoiding the topic, as you have yet to explain your original question I will continue on.

But while we wait, maybe you could ask Barbara Anne Ferris, when she stands on the money system, the food system, where would she have voted on the war? These are the three biggest problems that will effect the USA currently, and in the near future? They all affect our district, heavily.

Where does she stand on the bi-partisan bill Congressman Kuchinich is working on with Republicans and fellow democrats to bring the troops home in 90 days?

Hey Jimmy!

Please take off the rose colored glasses and put down the Kool Aid. You cant be serious when you called Denny the "best mayor of the city"????
I grew in Cleveland proper during his "reign". He did not nothing but drive this city into default and make it a laughing stock!

How has he embarassed us, remember his last "run" for the White House? Issue 47? DFAS?

As for my other comments, I dont care how they make you feel!

This will probably not post either, since this site eliminates posts that dont fit their Party line.

So much for freedom of speech!

Terry

Do you have any facts right?

Even the one about deleting posts?

No posts deleted. I over wrote three, and asked for all three to be reposted by the writers. But why let facts get in the way.

If you go back and look up the history. Dennis liad his political future on the line doing battle against big banks and big business. It was the banks that tightened everything up because Dennis couldn't be bought. I can see faulting Dennins on some stuff back then, but he was being kicked and beaten up by the banks and George Forbes.

Dennis putting the city into default is an urban myth. Do the homework.

Terry, I am sure you add much or should I say will ad much to this and other discussions. But come to the party with facts.

I quoted a statement and proclomation from the city of Cleveland. Certainly you can believe them. Maybe you should do a google search for Kucinich and Muny, and read only new PD stuff. Go back and read the entire episode at Cleveland State in the archives.

You can watch the whole thing happen as the bank put the squeeze on the the mayor and the citizens. I am offering proof, you are just fluffing it off. My god man do the homework it is not that hard.

No matter what you think of Dennis you have to give the guy credit on this one. All knowledgable people have realized, he was near genius, and very right on Muny Power.

Issue 47?! Like the WestEnd?!

1- Believe Cleveland City Council proclamation occurred in 1998 not your 1995 . I am under the impression that supposedly? newspapers and other print media strive toward 100% correctness goal so suggest you check different dates and if warranted correct date in future posts

2- Surprised and disappointed that an apparently educated person - ie editor indulges himself in taking cheap shots at another's educational credentials . But this reflects more on you than me .

3- Have found in my technical career that some people can handle multiple correspondences on several parallel levels while for others it is best to proceed on a single series approach . question1 leads to answer 1 then question 2 answer 2 etc . Obviously for you the one step at a time is being tried .

4- Finally I thought my "original Question " has been explained several times over , yet you say I have not done this . So for "your sake" I will try to post it again ? The Question " What has our present Congressional Representative done specifically for the residents of Ohio District 10 over the past 2 or 9+ years ? " Don't know how to say it more directly without potentially influencing your possible answer .
