Mayor's Watery Message

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Just got my water bill, my newly designed water bill. This one had a nice little message from Mayor Tom George.

Not only does it have more information it now features a schedule for upcoming events!

I have to admit I love "Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius" which is playing June 10th at dusk.

Thanks!

Jim

Just another good example of the Mayor, Council and staff making City Hall more resident friendly and open.

Stan as our City Hall reporter I know that you have felt first hand the very positive feeling in City Hall right now. We have a tough road ahead of us, but we also have a groups willing to tackle these issues hand in hand with the residents and business of this town.

Maybe the city should look at selling coupon space on the bills! Now there is a win, win, win. Water bills that show a profit when sent out, and the poor homeowner gets a 1/2 price scoop of ice cream at Rosati's, $5.00 off a hair cut at the Reagle Beagle, or an upgrade from a coffee to a Frapachino at Bella Dubbey!

Being without notice of the change, I was a little concerned when the first new bill arrived, looked too damn official, with city hall return address....BUT, what an improvement. Even a return envelope! Kudos to City Hall for a very nice little improvement.

Coupons are a great idea.
