PRESENTATIONS ON NATIONAL REGISTER AND GARFIELD SCHOOL

Post by Mazie Adams »

Are you wondering if your home would qualify fo rthe National Register of Historic Places? What is the status of the Birdtown nomination? How can listing homes, neighborhoods and cities encourage community education, economic development and civic pride? Barb Powers from the Ohio Historic Preservation Office will explain the National Register program and answer your questions about the application process.

Also on the program will be a short talk with photographs from Bob Teitenberg of Regency Turner on the progress at Garfield school.

The program is Wednesday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Women's Pavilion in Lakewood Park (intersection of Belle and Lake Avenues). This event is co-sponsored by the Lakewood Historical Society and the Lakewood Public Library and is free and open to the public.
