Life in Lakewood during WWII

Post by Teresa Andreani »

I'm working with 2 terrific students at LHS on an important project for their Interactive Media class. They want to produce a website and booklet/magazine on the experiences of people on the homefront in Lakewood during World War II. They're not necessarily looking for 'war stories', but rather want to discover what it was like for people who watched siblings and classmates and neighbors head off to the war. What was the Lakewood experience like at that time?

Chelsea and Justine are amazing students! Last year, they were responsible for the award-winning magazine produced honoring the four school buildings decommissioned in Lakewood. They won first place NATIONWIDE for their efforts! I'd really like to do all I can to help them create another successful project.

If you or someone you know would be willing to be interviewed for this project, please contact me at the LHS Alumni Office - 216.529.4033 or via email at teresa.andreani@lakewood.k12.oh.us.

Many thanks!
Teresa
