What's Going On in the Valley - Huge Bang

Post by Grace O'Malley »

About 10 minutes ago there was a LARGE bang or explosion that I think came from the Rocky River valley.

Riverside drive was filled with people and cars who stopped to see what happened.

Any official word? I saw a lady on Riverside call the police but they offered no explanation. Anyone know what happened?

We heard it too on Clifton Road. Was it a transformer?

We saw some "official" looking cars and trucks down in the open area near the wastewater plant.

I suspect it may have been a planned detonation.

The lady that called the police said they acted like they had no idea what it was.

What, do they think they can keep something that makes that much noise a secret? LOL!

I doubt that it took all day, but this morning we happened upon some folks who were grabbing some coffee on their way to participate in some SWAT training.

Any word yet on what caused this huge bang? We heard it too, and initially I thought it was thunder, but there were no storm clouds to be seen.
