The Observer has JUST ADDED A SECTION IN GOVERNMENT FOR COUNTY AND STATE POLITICIANS
Consumers for Fair Utility Rates (CFFUR) will hold the second of its meetings on Utility Rates and surviving the winter on Thursday, September 29th, from 6 to 8 PM at Sagrada Familia Church Hall at 7719 Detroit Avenue.
State Rep. Michael J. Skindell, D-Lakewood, will be present to respond to concerns and discuss state-level assistance programs and options.
With gas prices expected to rise this winter, the meetings aim to provide information on assistance programs, educate residents on their options on choosing a gas supplier, and determine how a community can fight the rising cost of natural gas.
?Despite best efforts to curb heating costs, more and more Ohioans are finding it difficult to pay ever-increasing utility bills,? Skindell said. ?There is help for those who need it, and these meetings can be a great resource for assistance.?
United States Senators Mike DeWine and George Voinovich, along with Congressman Dennis Kucinich, have also been invited to attend.
