Lakewood Chamber of Commerce's Leadership breakfast was once again filled.
I know this is just wrong, but one cannot help but wonder...

First of many photos and words coming later today!

Jim,

Thank you for joining us this morning, and in a "blazer" no less.

You and I were joined by a wonderful group of leaders who care deeply about the City of Lakewood. And, throughout the morning, I kept thinking about the following quote:

Bill Bradley wrote:Respect your fellow human being, treat them fairly, disagree with them honestly, enjoy their friendship, explore your thoughts about one another candidly, work together for a common goal and help one another achieve it.

And then you jump in with:

Jim O'Bryan wrote:I know this is just wrong, but one cannot help but wonder...

Making me then think of the following quote:

Will Durant wrote:The most interesting thing in the world is another human being who wonders, suffers and raises the questions that have bothered him to the last day of his life, knowing he will never get the answers.

I just cannot help but wonder...

Matt

It was a good event, as usual. Very good speaker. And, as usual, an outstanding job done by our Culinary Arts program....the food was excellent and the student poised and polite. I am always impressed with them.

Even the other side was filled!

While the meeting for the "Leaders" of the community, the real stars are always members of
Lakewood Culinary Arts programs, who do a tremendous job.

Schoolboard President Matthew Markling starts off the chow line. I guess with all that
bacon he was hoping to become the next Sir Francis Bacon, “Knowledge is power.”

Image
Next up were Lakewood Chamber of Commerce President Patty Ryan, and schoolboard member
John Kamkutis who...

... promptly turned to me and said..."It's real good, but it is no Dirty Sanc..." Speaking of one of
my usual orders for breakfast at his restaurant 2 Dads Diner.

Meanwhile Police Chief Malley tries to convince Ed Favre that the city has not fallen apart
in the 9 days since his retirement.

While in the back a very proud, deservedly so, Rob McGorry watches his students perform
yet again flawlessly. Many people with tell you how good the Lakewood Project is as a band.
Rob's band of culinary students are pretty damn good too! Hmmmmm maybe diner and a show!

Thank to everyone for putting this on, and it was a good group.

peace
