Rocky River in the Emerald Canyon looked like his last Monday.

Today it looked like this. Which always leads to this...

An ice dam like this which leads to...

this which leads to flooding and destruction.
This is about when the Lakewood Harbor Master decides to blow up the ice dams,
so if you hear loud explosions, do not worry.

The Coast Gaurd has made several passes along the mouth of river which allows the ice at the mouth of the river to flow out. The fire department monitors the river every day when the temperature causes a thaw. We also meet with Rocky River officials and the CYC management every January to review other options. The explosives never really accomplished much more than killing fish.

Zero fun in that.
Maybe that is why nature has started the ice dam, where the coast guard cannot get to?
FWIW
