The Lakewood Family Collaborative Connections!

Hey Everyone!
You may have noticed some reorganizing here on the Deck. I just wanted to point out that below General Discussions there is a NEW section called Lakewood Family Collaborative Connections.
The Lakewood Family Collaborative was developed out of a grant (Family to Family) and we fall under the city's Department of Human Services umbrella. The meetings are every 4th Thursday at the Lakewood YMCA from 1pm-2:30pm.
Each month we have really great discussions about how we can help families & youth in our city. Individuals, group leaders, and many others attend Collab meetings to get real solutions for the people they serve. Anyone wanting to make our community a stronger better place will benefit from attending Collab meetings, receiving our monthly e-newsletter, or serving on a committee. We help job seekers, kids who need foster care or adoption, and we have recently begun a school supplies committee dedicated to forming a centralized effort with other Lakewood groups to help our Lakewood students all year long. These are just a few of the efforts we have planned, but with your contributions, we can identify other ways we can connect families & kids with the help they need to become successful community members of Lakewood.
Check out Lakewood Family Collaborative Collections often right here on the Deck. New information is posted regularly.
