Just to let you know that we will be on Channel 5 news tonight at 5:30 also the Ohio News Network. They just left my house to do an interview on our dumpster puppies. I sounded like a complete moron who has no clue what she is doing, but I did it. How exciting for us. I am going to cry!!!

Missy--- good work-------- in today's media environment all outlets have to be understood and used. You've certainly alerted all of us on the Deck as to the problems of abandoned pups and your efforts to find them a home.
Now, if TV comes in it can only help in drawing attention to the problem.

Don't worry about how you come off (viewers will have as much respect for you as us readers).
hehe---the pups are gonna be the stars!

Shout-out to you, Missy! I am sitting here with a dumpster dog and a dumpster cat, and I can't go to sleep unless they're with me (big bed) In addition the most beloved pet I ever had wasn't technically a dumpster dog but showed up at a friend's work site and I wound up with him. It's been 9 years since I had to have him put him down and I still can't think of him without getting a little weepy.

I love these guys so much. They are so fun, and just so playful. Yesterday they were calm, scared, and so shy. After a good meal, well several good meals, toys, a warm bed and some love, they are just insane!!! For those that did not catch the story here it is...
http://www.newsnet5.com/dpp/news/local_ ... s-dumpsterThere is video as well. The dog warden of Maple Heights is one of my best friends. She is one of the best and will go out of her way to save a dog. She has a few herself, all rescues. She even fosters for me when I am in a dire emergency. I cannot say enough good things about her. Just wish she were in our city, then again if she was, I might end up with even more dogs. LOL.

LOL! My experience with dogs is that "several good meals" and a little cuddling and head scratching does the trick almost every time! Again, good work. I saw the piece...

That story turned out wonderfullly! Good for you and I am so glad you got some much needed press for the work you do.
I am guessing after that aired, you are getting all sorts of emails about adopting those pups out. I would love to take one of the boys, but I would probably not pass your screening test. Heh.
Great job, Missy!

Missy--- just saw the Channel 5 report. It was excellent. The part that impressed me and came across in just a few seconds was your calm and deliberate approach in screening applicants for the pups.
Second time around, with your skilled efforts, these dogs will finally find a good home!

I am so glad this made the news as many don't to help you find the best home! What would happend if you weren't doing this? I wonder if offering a reward would help catch the monsters who do this. How do they punish crimes like this or is it a slap on the wrist?
St. Franis would be so proud of your work!
