Great pictures. I always love seeing pictures of old department stores, there's something so interesting about them, especially since they were such a central part of life back then.

Interestingly enough, there I ran across a show last night on PBS called "The Way We Shopped" which was a cool documentary on all the department stores in Cleveland and Akron. It was a great show, and I'll have to admit, I had no idea who Mr. Jingeling was until I saw it. :)

Those pictures are so cool! Thanks for sharing Rhonda! I just miss shopping at Higbees while working downtown in the 80s but had no idea we had this here in Lakewood that many years ago. So much history here! I wish we could go back in time to that time of the picture for just one day! No graffiti, respect for all adults, affordable items!
