Ah, we meet again, my friend, and sometimes on-Deck adversary.
Perhaps it might surprise you to learn that I encourage you sincerely in this pursuit of yours.
You seem to care very deeply about this town, and you also seem to be unafraid to let people know what you think.
You apparently want to make a difference in this world.
Although you and I may disagree at times as to how that difference might best come about, I respect your right to follow your heart. I'd rather see that, than see someone afraid to make any changes in things that may need to be changed.
Go for it.
(You'd still have to earn my vote though, if you ever stand for election.

)
Back to the banjo...(Wasn't that your favorite instrument?

I feel the same way. I donated some money to Antonio and gave a her a vote because I thought she did a good job on council. I'm sure we don't agree on "national" issues but those issues are not all that important when I decide who I vote for at the local level.
I'm sure City Council will consider the personal, performance and political issues before they make a decision. That's fine with me.
I think I have something to offer on the issues of finance or building and housing.
Those committees are part of the mundane and important aspects of Councils duties.
However, I hope Council considers adding another committee: The intergovernmental committee. That committee would work with other city councils in Cuyahoga County to make sure that local government isn’t run over by this rush to regionalization There is an outside chance that such a committee could find some real solutions.
Chris Runayne, who should have won a seat on County Council, had this in today’s Plain Dealer:
http://www.cleveland.com/cuyahoga-count ... l_see.htmlI think it the wrong approach. I think it a dangerous approach.

jeez---- maybe a wild card (with some intellectual and data based grounding) might be a possibility
