More Tricks From The TeaParty In Lakewood

So today I'm in a decent mood. Get home from the doctors and get on the elevator and there it was, a flier that says in bold letters after an Illustration of a skull and then "Congressman Kucinich sold you out for a ride on AIRFORCE ONE!"

Below that, in bold letters "DEATH PANELS?...YOU DECIDE! HEALTH CARE BILL". Not only is the whole flier a crock of lies, but someone had jimmied the front door to the building. There was a large stack of these fliers by the bank of mailboxes.

I took everyone of these down in all three buildings. They were on the elevators and on every bulletin board in the place.

Whoever jimmied the door, I've been here 10 months and never found it jimmied before, has endangered every senior in all three buildings of the Westerly. You can walk through and get to everyone. In addition, they have posted and left fliers in a HUD subsidised facility where it is illegal to post political materials and all things posted need to be approved by the front office.

I think they have a camera down there. I certainly hope they do and catch these "law abiding" patriots in performing illegal acts.

By the way, everyone of your fliers are now over in Dennis Kucinich''s office, except for three that I have kept as evidence.

Congratulations and please take some remedial English classes because the spelling and grammatical errors, in addition to the misinformation, make these a veritable potpourri of fecal matter.

So, you're complaining about the fact that someone jimmied the locks on the public housing...the government housing where you live.
Its not secure. Anyone could break in.
There might be a camera "down there" to record what goes on at the door.
Its endangering the lives of many people.

All the while, the private condo high-rise where I live has 24/7 a doorman/woman, on-site security, and multiple cameras at every building entry point.

But you're also mad because someone is posting "a veritable potpourri of fecal matter" against the government takeover of health care.

Am I the only one who sees the irony in this?

They broke in here Roy? What irony about that. They're against government healthcare but they don't want anyone to touch their medicare. I have it to, but I want everyone to have it.

I've never claimed to be anything but poor. You have a doorperson, bully for you. I bet you don't want anyone else to have one either.

It's locked here Roy, you have to have a passkey to get in.

What's the irony Roy except that these selfish, lying break-in people are coming into where I live illegally. Maybe they can't get into your high-rise little rich boy, bully for you. I can take care of myself, believe me, but many of the people here are helpless and can't defend themselves. But hey, as long as you're all right, everything is A okay.

By the way, the elderly woman who had her purse stolen at the Lakewood Library lives here, but that's just fine that they broke in right?

You truly don't see the irony?

Please tell me someone sees it. I relayed your story to my family...they got it before I even finished.

Your family are the ultimate arbitors of your ridiculous statements aren't they.

Obviously you are too deep for me. Please explain your insights that are so plain to you and deep for me.

What is your issue with me little man?

The private condo/high rise you live in at Winton place that you paid $58,000.00 for Roy? You side with the rich.

Roy, Roy, Roy that address was opulent 30 years ago, not anymore. But keep telling yourself "I live on the Gold Coast, I am a rich man".

Wow.

Let me get this straight Sharon, you're not against people being in your building, but your against people entering illegally, and then continuing to break the rules once inside. Hmmm, where have I heard this argument before.

In addition, because the flyers are from a certain demographic, you're assuming that they jimmied the door to get in. (just because the door shows signs of this does not prove that this person was the one responsible). You're simply using a pre-conceived personal disposition to make assumptions as to the legality of the actions of others. Hmmmm, I'm pretty sure I've heard a term used to describe that kind of thought process as well.

If ony the government could afford to have paid security personnel man the entrances and ask those that they suspect don't belong there to provide some form of identification.

Ya know, now I REALLY think I've had this discussion before. Man! I just can't put my finger on it.

Bret I stated two facts in tandem. If there is a camera down there, we'll know won't we.

Since a purse was stolen from and 88 year old woman at the library and now the door has been jimmied at a senior apt. complex, it seems that there are two incidents that put seniors in peril.

It is an interesting coincidence that the fliers and break in happened on the same day, is it not?

Wow.

Did I once say or even imply that I think I'm rich? I said I was in a private condo high-rise.
My point was about private vs. public, not class warfare, which is what I see you trying to twist my words into.

I wish I'd caught that. That's another amazing piece of irony. Great catch.

I wasn't aware that all tea party supporters were rich. But then much of what Sharon posts is not consistent with reality.

I see the boys are back in town, trying to out witless each other.

Roy, what does your family think of that?

What I saw is not as nuanced as Bret's observation.

You're complaining about your government housing, how insecure it is, how there's no cameras (or 1 camera), there's no accountability (no one challenged your so-called invader...I'd laugh if it turns out its someone in your own building). Forgive me for putting words in your mouth, but it sounds like it stinks or, at the very least, like someone is failing to do the job right.

And yet, you want the government to take over health care.

If the government can't run your housing up to your standards, how in the world can you expect it to run your health care?

sharon kinsella wrote:I see the boys are back in town, trying to out witless each other.

Roy, what does your family think of that?

I've already told you...they don't understand why I even bother with you. Some people are just so far out there its not worth bothering with them.
However, you and your ilk have yelled in the streets for long enough, like a mob of union activists marching on a bank executive's lawn.
There's a new voice in town and its not alone, but more than that, its armed with knowledge, truth and respect.

Perhaps the people posting those ads were paid to do it?

What if they have families outside the building? Shouldn't these people be allowed to make money to support their families?

Maybe the government could offer them an apartment?
