On July 22, 2010, members of Cleveland Stonewall Democrats, the voice of LGBT Democrats in Greater Cleveland, voted to endorse several candidates running for office in the new Cuyahoga County government for the September 7th, 2010 Primary Election. Cleveland Stonewall Democrats President Rob Rivera commented: "Cleveland Stonewall Democrats is excited about this slate of endorsed pro-LGBT Democratic candidates running for the new county government. Additionally, we are encouraged by the widespread participation in our endorsement process by so many Democratic candidates from across the county from every county council district. As always, we continue to welcome any pro-equality candidate who looks to engage the LGBT community and join the fight for more inclusive communities." The endorsements for the Primary Election continue through to the November 2, 2010 General Election.

Endorsements of specific interest to the Lakewood community are:

For Cuyahoga County Executive:
EDWARD FITZGERALD

For Cuyahoga County Council - District 2:
DALE MILLER

For Ohio State Senate, District 23 (endorsed 3/22/10):
MICHAEL SKINDELL

For Ohio House of Representatives, District 13 (endorsed 3/22/10):
NICKIE J. ANTONIO

Additional endorsements for the September Primary Election and November General Election can be found at the Cleveland Stonewall Democrats website – www.clevelandstonewalldemocrats.org.

Stonewall got it wrong with Fitzgerald. Completely wrong.

Even if you all bought his song and dance about not being a homophobe, did you miss his and Bullock's literature during the local elections about protecting our borders? Do you not understand the racist overtones of that statement.

Disgusting.

You may just be baiting me, but that's incorrect. My campaign never put out literature using the phrase "protecting our borders." You're entitled to your own opinions about me, but not your own facts.

While looking for homophobia and racist election documents, none of them are listed online. And the Observer arguments from that time are lost. I understand that something happened when the new format was initiated, which was too bad.

I played on google for a while, but references to a certain council person who has become dead to me were making me even crazier than my usual standard.

Ed, you remember some of the conversations we had. If these people buy it, more power to you. Lots of luck on your quest to Ohio domination.

Jim - Thank you.

Ed - Still can't find your old pieces anywhere on the web, I must be wrong. I apologize.

But you would you please explain why I see a couple of police cars for every car I see that's been stopped, with a person of color in it.

I have some black friends who live in Lakewood who are terrified of going 1 mile over the speed limit. I have one friend who I was driving to chemo and was freaking about me going 28 in a 25 zone. When we discussed it, she stated that I wasn't afraid because I'm white. Now I don't have a tape of this conversation or my observations, but I urge you to explore what I have just said with the chief since you are running for a job that will have you represent many people of color.

I did my apology, will you explore my claim, I would appreciate it and will climb down off your back.
